2001 LAKESHORE BUFFER - UPDATED PHOTOS - 2007
Here is an example of one of these Buffer Zone projects after it has been in place for a few years. This one is located at the Jim Hovda residence on the North Shore.
Funding and technical support for this "Lakeshore Buffer" came from the following:
- Cash = Board of Water and Soil Resources / LCMR Challenge Grant
- Coordination = Gerry Maciej - Benton County Water Plan and Soil and Water Conservation District
- Plan Writing = Carol Barrymore - Volunteer and Julie Clocker - U of M Extension
- Planting = Landowners and LOTS of Volunteers
